Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing from simply browsing. We run no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts on this site, and we set no tracking cookies. The one exception is the registration form below, which only exists if you choose to fill it in.

What your browser stores

If you pick a colour theme in the footer, your choice is saved in your browser's own local storage under the key droidtribe-theme. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Hosting logs

This site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives the requests your browser makes — including your IP address and user agent — and handles them under Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not receive or store those logs.

City lead registration

If you want to help run DroidTribe in your city, the About page has a registration form. It is hosted by Tally and opens in a window on the page only when you click the button; nothing from Tally loads before that. If you submit it, we receive your name, email address, WhatsApp number, city, LinkedIn profile and your answer about why you want to represent DroidTribe. We use these only to review your application and get in touch with you, and we share them only with the DroidTribe organisers who help with that. Tally stores the responses for us and handles them under Tally's privacy policy. To have your response deleted, email droidtribecommunity@gmail.com.

Links to other services

Talk recordings link to YouTube, speaker names link to LinkedIn, and venues link to Google Maps. Following any of those links takes you to a service we do not control, with its own privacy policy and its own cookies. Nothing is loaded from those services until you choose to go there.

Photos of people

The meetup archive contains photographs taken at DroidTribe events, which include people who attended. If you appear in a photo and would like it removed, email droidtribecommunity@gmail.com and we will take it down. You do not need to explain why.

Speaker details

For each talk we publish the speaker's name, talk title, photo and public profile link, with their agreement, so the archive credits their work. Speakers can ask us to change or remove their entry at any time.

Children

This site is aimed at working software developers and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. The full history of every change is public in the site's repository.
