A home for Android developers

DroidTribe was created to bring Android developers together beyond conference talks and online discussions. Through meetups, technical sessions, and open conversations, we create a space to learn, share real-world experiences, and build meaningful connections within the Android community.

It started in Pune in November 2024 with one room and four talks. Seven meetups later it runs across Pune, Bengaluru and Mumbai, hosted in offices lent to us by companies who believe the same thing we do: that the useful conversations happen in person, between people who ship.

Rajesh brings the practitioner’s and organiser’s perspective to DroidTribe: the real trade-offs behind shipping Android apps, teaching what he learns, and making technical conversations easier to join. He curates talks, brings people together, and keeps each meetup grounded in useful, honest engineering.

Gaurav Thakkar

Co-founder · Community builder

Gaurav brings an organiser’s eye to the community — connecting people, creating a welcoming room, and turning the idea of “we should meet more often” into something developers can rely on. He helps every gathering feel personal, practical, and open to newcomers.
